'Changing Lives Travel Award 2008'
ADSW and Scottish Government have come together to recognise and showcase some of the best examples of life changing work in social work services in Scotland today through the development of the 'Changing Lives Travel Award'.
£2000 will be awarded to one successful applicant, or team that evidences:
The best example of excellence in bringing about change and progression in social care in any of the areas covered by the 5 change Programme groups and describes
How travel, using the award, would allow the initiative to be further developed to the benefit of practice in Scotland.

Engage, Change and Deliver
ADSW Annual Conference 2008
Wednesday 14th - Friday 16th May
'Engage, Change and Deliver' is the title for this year's event. The conference is being designed to help us develop best practice in Scotland engaging service users much earlier and more consistently in the design, planning and delivery of services. We will examine the changes as a profession we must make to fully embrace user involvement. The conference will also examine the progress we have made in 'Changing Lives' and what further must change to build strength and credibility of the Social Work profession.
