Making a Difference
The ADSW Criminal Justice Conference 2012 was held on the 27th and 28th October at Crieff Hydro Hotel in Perthshire. The conference's title, Making a Difference reflected its aims in providing a range of speakers that highlighted the key issues facing criminal justice social work and its rapidly developing agenda.
The conference was a huge success and tackled head on some of the more unprecedented challenges surrounding criminal justice social work; putting the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act into practice at a time when all agencies are facing major financial restraint; working more creatively across traditional professional boundaries to shape and deliver services and the opportunity to develop coherent approaches to good practice and deliver better outcomes for our communities.

A huge success at the Criminal Justice Conference was an art exhibition by offenders across five Scottish prisons.
