Our objectives

To promote social welfare, social justice and social inclusion.
To promote the interests of users, carers and vulnerable people.
To promote employment practices that will support and develop social care/work staff.
To influence social work policy.

We do this work by advising and lobbying key decision makers so that they can make informed decisions about social care services. The main decision makers we seek to influence are members of parliament, government ministers and local elected members. We do this through the work of our standing committees.

Structure

ADSW is structured around 6 standing committees and governed by an Executive Committee made up of the presidential team (Past President, President and Vice President), the 6 standing committee chairs and geographical representations from across Scotland.
