This standing committee support the other policy focussed standing committees by looking at the financial implications of new policy and any emerging costs and burdens of existing policy.

The standing committee is heavily involved in costing aspects of the review of free personal care and is currently looking at the pressures that all social work departments are facing during the continuing recession.
